Cross Pattaya Oceanphere (formerly X2 Pattaya Oceanphere)

Worst experience ever! everything here looks nice apparently but the hardware is not in good condition and the management is poor: Air con is broken, water tap is broken, 4 staffs came through to fix it at late night, our whole family had been waiting them for an hour and urged for changing room but the staff insist no room available and guarantee problem will be fixed, which obviously not! after 1.5 hours our parents need to sleep and they finally willing to change room . From check in , breakfast to check out, we heard different visitors complaining different issues, they definitely need to review the whole management, staff training and the room condition instead of spending time buying reviews and comments as for sure they won’t deserve a 4.6 stars! Despite the poor management , credit to the bellboy and nice villa

The hotel is value for money for pool villa. The breakfast is good. I like that they have good variety for breakfast menu that guess can pick as well as there are breakfast lines of different breads, fruits, cereals, juices, Thai, and Chinese dishes. They also serve each table a trey of many small bites which i think it's a waste of food because some of them are not the food we like to eat and they will just go directly to the trash. Our repeated bad experiences from this hotel is the restaurant services staffs that are not professional and still need a lot of training and supervising. We found that some of the staff, don't know/understand their own menu and also have problems with orders. - When I ordered poached egg, the staff seem confused, so we repeated the order slowly again and she repeated after us and nodded. What we got was fried egg. - Plates were taken before we finish our food and without asking for permission. - Staff asked me how do i want the wagyu beef to be cooked and i said medium rare. What i got was super well done. - I ordered a room service and they forgot to bring cutlery, and she will comeback again with the cutlery. I waited almost 30 mins and the food is cold, then i call to check and found out she forgot. Another staff brought the cutlery to me and give me a "thai style" laugh. - I order caffe latte with no sugar and what i got is sweeten ice coffee. The room is nice, but very soon will need a real touch up as we can see there are a few temporary touch up already. They seem to have problem with Air-con temp control. we set up 26c. and the room temp measure 18c (our baby monitor can measure the temp.) when we changed to 28c, then the room become very warm and humid. Technician guy came to help but not really, he recommended us to use fan mode if we are cold. I explain to him politely we paid for hotel with air-con, not with fan, so he change the mode on the remote control. It worked for a while until it didn't. We didn't change the room because this also happen with our last visit, so i assume it's their whole system that's the problem, so we just keep adjust at the temp 5-6 times a day. Moreover, I believe the work station plugs do not have ground wire as standard safety. i work on my computer and it gave me an electric shock, my usb phone charger also gave me a small shock which is so annoying. They also should figure out about the big trolleys their room service team use. they cause loud noise when they were move pass the room many 5-10 times a day. We spent a lot of time outside at the pool and i can hear them from a far. What is sad is that I made many of these comments to their team since our previous visit and it seems nothing has changed. Either the comments were ignored or they has never gotten to their management. It's a pity this hotel has so much potential. Nice villas, nice facilities, overall food is good. However, they need to lift up their service to be more professional and on par with other hotels as well as keep up with their maintenances.
